No. Providence Perfect Cents Savings is another convenient and FREE service to Providence Bank & Trust customers.
Do Providence Perfect Cents Savings transfers apply to checks written on my account?
No. Providence Perfect Cents Savings apply to debit card transactions only.
What is the 100% Providence Bank & Trust Match?
This is a limited-time bonus being offered by the Bank that will make those pennies add up. When you enroll in Providence Perfect Cents Savings, Providence Bank & Trust will match 100% of round up amount for 90 consecutive days, starting the day of enrollment, and up to a maximum of $50.00. The amount matched will accumulate for one transfer to your Savings account at the end of the 90 day period.
Is there anything I need to do to transfer the round up?
That’s the beauty of Providence Perfect Cents Savings. You just enroll in the program and everything else, including growing your savings, is AUTOMATIC.
My spouse and I have a joint Checking Account with individual debit cards. Will the Providence Perfect Cents Savings apply to both cards?
Yes. All debit cards connected to the Checking Account will round up to your Savings Account.
When will the first Providence Perfect Cents Savings transfer take effect after I enroll?
Providence Perfect Cents Savings transfers become effective for transactions that post on the next banking day after you enroll for the service.
When is the Providence Perfect Cents Savings money transferred from my Checking to my Savings Account?
The round up amount for debit purchases will accumulate for one transfer to your Savings Account per day. Purchases made on weekends or holidays post on the next business day.
How do I track my savings?
Your monthly bank statement will contain an itemized list of all transactions. It will show you all Providence Perfect Cents Savings transfers and the new balance of your Savings Account. Savings can also be tracked through online banking daily.
How do I record Providence Perfect Cents Savings in my checkbook?
Simply round up the transaction in your checkbook every time you make a debit card purchase. For example, if you make a purchase using your debit card that is $13.24, the round up amount will be 76¢ so you would record $14.00 in your checkbook.
What if I make a return?
If you return or cancel an item, your checking account will be refunded the amount of the purchase, but the change from the transaction will stay in your Savings Account.
What if my account is overdrawn?
We will never round up purchases if the transfer will make your Checking Account negative, and we will never transfer change from a Checking Account that is already negative.
What do I need to enroll?
You will need a Providence Checking Account, a Providence Visa® Debit Card and Providence Statement Savings Account.

Savings fee structure reverts to standard account requirements if Providence Perfect Cents Savings is discontinued. Account rates are subject to change. Fees may reduce earnings.
